Deborah (Debbie) Heron Prichard, DVM, is a 1992 graduate of the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After working in emergency and critical care for a few years she completed an emergency critical care residency in Texas. Dr. Prichard is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, Cat Fanciers’ Association, and the American Paint Horse Association. She is also a founding lifetime member of the Gypsy Horse Registry of America, where she assisted in establishing the by-laws, rule book and registry. In addition to Oklahoma, Dr. Prichard has been licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Alaska, California, Oklahoma and Texas. Dr. Prichard grew up showing horses and POA ponies throughout the United States and since 1982, she has also shown the Cornish Rex breed of cats. An accomplished pastry chef, Dr. Prichard has standing orders for OSU and OU tailgating cakes. Dr. Prichard shares her home with her husband Marc, Olive - a Selkirk Rex cat, BDubs the cat, Moxie the Schnauzer, Meg the lab, and Big Mac the horse. Often she can be found riding, gardening, baking, and home brewing award-winning beer.
Dr. Abbey Wesner is a local relief veterinarian, providing services at clinics all over the Oklahoma City area She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she practiced in Pennsylvania for several years before moving to Oklahoma. Her special interests include canine and feline ophthalmology and internal medicine, especially endocrinopathy. As a relief vet, you may not see her all the time at Cherokee Hills, but she will love and care for your pet like her own when she is here. She enjoys movies, cooking and travelling in her spare time. She happily lives in Edmond with her husband, two children, and their wonderful pets.
Tracy has been in Vet Med since 1989 obtained her RVT in 1998. First graduating class of OSU-OKC Veterinary Technology Program. Outside of the clinic, she is a mom of a Senior Baseball player who is also in choir. Tracy also is a mom to her 2 show dogs, a Doberman & Corgi, her Boxer mix, 2 cats and a Morgan Horse. Outside of work you will find Tracy at a dog show, horse show, baseball game or choir concert somewhere with her family.
Dusty has lots of experience inside and outside of the clinic setting. Dusty's passion outside of the clinic, she raises and shows American Bullies, French Bulldogs and Shorty Bulls. She is an experienced dog handler, Champed and Grand Champed dozens of dogs. Dusty also holds the 2024 #1 dog in the world title w/her best buddy for her Registry
Bernard also goes by 'Bernie' . Bernie has been in Vetmed for 8 years and plans to attend vet school in the future. His love for animals does not stop at dogs and cats, they extend to others like reptiles, fish, rodents and insects. 'It is an honor to care for you and your pets, pets are family too'. Bernie.
Tarra came from 22 years in health care to join VetMed and has not looked back! She enjoys every aspect of her roll in clinic from co-workers, the clients, of course all of the patients. Outside of clinic, Tarra enjoys Kayaking, traveling, spending time with her family, and of course, Loving on her 3 American Bullies.
